Bonner Springs

The Lady Vikes girls cross country team traveled to Bonner Springs on September 19th. In the JV meet, sophomore Carleigh Konrade, took 17th place with a time of 19:08. Carleigh has been suffering from a chest pain this season. She is still having the pain but trying her best to push through it. Freshman Betty Sue White placed 36th with a time of 19:48. Finishing third for Seaman, sophomore Savannah Skoch placed 50th with a time of 20:11. Only three people ran JV this time due to more people moving up to varsity.
As for the girls varsity team, overall, the team placed 9th out of a total of 14 teams. First runner to cross the finish line was junior Ramsey McCarter. She placed 5th with a time of 16:24. Second runner to finish for Seaman was junior Tracy Lister placing 27th. Her time was 17:23. This is Listers first year running and she is still improving each week. Senior Megan Wherrell clocked in with a time of 17:59 and the place of 49th. The last four Varsity runners crossed the finish line and placed 62nd, 66th, 82nd, and 89th. The Lady Vikes have two more meets before City, League, Regionals, and State. Good luck in the next week Vikes!
